Noise Complaint Form
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CITIZEN NOISE COMPLAINT
Use this form to report loud noise from a car stereo in violation of Florida Statute 316.3045, which prohibits noise from a car that is audible at 25’ or more. The noise must be heard within the St. Petersburg city limits and the tag must be a Florida tag.
Use this form if you observe a very loud car at an intersection, or if you have someone in your neighborhood who disturbs the peace with a loud stereo. Be sure to report the tag number but do not take risks to get it.
Mail the completed form to The Neighborhood Partnership. The Police will then send a warning letter to the vehicle owner. The letter carries no penalty; it is simply a way to remind the driver to be courteous.
Do not take risks to get tag numbers. You should be able to get the tag number and any other identifying information without endangering your safety or the safety of others.
You may remain anonymous. However, if you want the Police to report back to you about this vehicle and whether a letter was sent, please provide your name and address. Please note that any information sent to the City of St. Petersburg becomes public record.
